Engineer

Albert joined isardSAT in July 2011.  He is part of the SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) Altimetry team, an evolution of conventional altimeters with extra processing on satellite data that improve sensor performances. Cryosat-2 and Sentinel-3 are two examples of SAR altimeters.

In his previous stage at Indra Space company (December 2009/ June 2011), he was working within the navigation department in the SAR (Search and Rescue) team, improving localization algorithms of the MEOLUT receptor, responsible for processing the alert messages transmitted by distress radio-beacons.

As far as Earth Observation is concerned, Albert has participated in the calibration design of the SEOSAR satellite, the first Spanish high resolution X-Band Synthetic Aperture Radar. This project was developed between EADS CASA and the Active Remote Sensing Laboratory (RSLAB), part of the Signal Theory and Communications Department (TSC) of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC).

In his final career project, he performed a feasibility study on SAR systems on small satellites for the Institut Cartogràfic de Catalunya (ICC), within the Programa Català d’Observació de la Terra (PCOT).  Albert obtained his degree in Telecommunications engineering by the The Escola Tècnica Superior d'Enginyeria de Telecomunicació de Barcelona (ETSETB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), in January 2009.

Since December 2009, Albert is a regional football referee within the Catalan Football Federation (FCF).
