Founder of the enterprise and isardSAT R&D Head since July 2006, she is as well leading projects in the altimetry department.

Mònica obtained her degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer by the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Enginyers de Telecomunicacions in Barcelona (ETSETB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1995. During 1997 she followed the courses in the Delft University of Technology, Delft, The Netherlands to get her Ph. D. degree in: "The end-to-end development of the EnviSat Radar Altimeter measuring system".

From October 1996 to December 2002, Mònica was the Radar Altimeter System Performance Engineer in the EnviSat Project Team at the European Space Research and Technology Centre (ESTEC) of the European Space Agency. Her responsibilities spread overall the system and different mission aspects of the radar instrument. Namely, performance and functional capacity, definition, test and calibration before launch, data processing algorithms, instrument calibration and validation during the Commissioning Phase (first stage after the satellite launch) leading and coordinating an expert group, comprising scientists and engineers.

From January 2003 until June 2006 she was the head of the Earth Observation department in Pildo Labs, Barcelona where she was responsible of the technical and management activities. In the EO department, she was engineer and scientific consultant for international organizations, scientific institutes and industrial partners.
