What we do
isardSAT services are within the Earth Observation field. isardSAT is involved in the design, calibration and maintenance of civil remote sensing instruments, it means, from the development of algorithms for data processing to calibration and maintenance after the launch. Finally, isardSAT performs studies for scientific applications with the data acquired by these instruments.
Organization
isardSAT is organized in two lines of knowledge and experience that work together to get the best performance when developing new algorithms, technologies and products for scientific applications: one line of remote sensing instrumentation and one line of applications. On the one hand, isardSAT develops projects that require knowledge of the measuring instrument and that are therefore lead by engineers (instrumental line). On the other hand, isardSAT undertakes projects that require a deeper knowledge of the final application (scientific applications line) which are typically lead by scientists.
Synergies generated by the two lines allow us to achieve higher quality and utility results, because both visions and needs are considered from the projects first stage.
The type of project each lines leads is distinguished according to the project issue being closer to the instrument or geophysics.
- on board processing (RA-2 EnviSat)
- Level 1 processing (RA-2 EnviSat, REAPER, Sentinel-3, Sea Level: CCI, Jason-CS)
- calibration (RA-2 EnviSat, Cryosat, SMOS)

Scientific projects we are involved in are mainly in the hydrology field:
- flood forecast, wild fires forecast, irrigation (SMOScat)
- health (MalarSat)
- water resources management (AGORA)

Technical Team
To develop these projects, isardSAT relies on a highly qualified personnel with deep knowledge in the following areas:
