Mònica is the founder and Director of isardSAT group. As a senior engineer and scientist, she also has responsibilities of the company R&D, and provides senior scientific and technical support to all isardSAT's research projects. With over 20 years of experience in Altimetry, her main expertise area, she also runs some of isardSAT's Altimetry projects.

María José is a PhD in Environmental, Space and Universe Science, Senior Research Scientist and main expertise field on “Water resources monitoring from microwave remote sensing data” at isardSAT. Her application field is on remote sensing using passive and active microwave to the study hydrology and climate change. She is responsible of development and validation of models and algorithms to retrieve geophysical variables from satellite data and technical lead of several international R&D projects. Also she is a PhD thesis supervisor and occasional reviewer for some peer-review journals.

Senior Research Scientist
Laia is isardSAT Group Director of Operations and Strategy. She is responsible for Earth Observation Applications and Services, and Corporate Business Development. Over the last 12 years she has worked extensively in Earth Observation with radar technologies, in the development of applications, deployment and execution of services, and has contributed as a research scientist and manager to several new satellite mission studies. She has solid experience in technical project management and coordination of projects for ESA and the EC in the area of Space Technologies & Applications.
Operations and Strategy Director
Albert is the R&D director of isardSAT UK . His main tasks include the design of ground processors, the implementation of algorithms, their validation and testing, managing some projects, supporting the redaction of new proposals and looking for new business opportunities.
Pablo is a R&D radar engineer at isardSAT S.L. His main activities include the specification, development, testing and verification of processing algorithms, with special focus on the instrumental calibration. He is also involved in scientific applications of altimetry measurements, project management and co-writing proposals.

Gorka is a SW Architect. He is in charge of the design and implementation of the processing software in its operational stage, as well as serving as a link between the scientific and the software components. Also, he coordinates the development team.
Guillermo Grau is Tech Lead. An experienced aerospace systems and SW engineer, with technical and management experience in the satellite nav and comms domains in large European projects (ESA, EC). Background in digital signal processing (simulation and RT implementation), satellite and aircraft/RPA datalinks, and system design. As a SW engineer his main assets are isomorphic JS (using React / Redux / GraphQL, Node.js and his own tools), IPC and real-time signal processing in C/C++, dataviz (d3, Cesium), and network testing, with a strong emphasis on the user and developer experience.
Lluís is a co-founder and the Administrative Director at isardSAT. He manages all non-technical activities within the Company: HR, Finance, IT, Legal and Operations, reporting to the Managing and R&D Director. Lluís is involved in the preparation of new project proposals and brings to isardSAT his experience on R&D Project Management.
Aytor is the Business Development Director at isardSAT. He can provide 15 years of experience in water and sanitation infrastructure, environmental management and DRR in consultancy, international development and humanitarian response across Africa, Asia, Europe and Latin America. Experienced in the operationalisation of applied technologies to the market / client / end user. Robust understanding of international best practice and contract management skills with multilateral and international agencies e.g. World Bank, DFID, EC, ESA.
Business Development Director
Qi is an engineer and PhD candidate in isardSAT. Her main field of research is water resources estimation in continental surfaces using microwave remote sensing. Her main activities include processing algorithms development and water level retrieval.
Mercè performs administrative duties for the enterprise management. She is involved in the coordination and implementation of the office procedures and has responsibility on specific technical projects and tasks. Her duties include preparing reports and financial data; liaising with the isardSAT team and also with external contacts; and handling the arrangements for travels, meetings and events.
Vivien has a PhD degree in Hydrology. She is responsible for the development and validation of models used to retrieve geophysical variables from remote sensing data. Her main expertise is in using passive microwave and optical data to derive variables relevant to hydrology and climate change, such as soil moisture and soil evaporation.
Clara is isardSAT Designer and Communications Manager working on the brand development and interactive user experience. After studying Graphic Design and Communication Sciences and with a background in branding, she focuses now in information design, UI/UX design, and brand development.

Ferran is a PhD aerospace engineer. He has a strong background on instrumentation and data analysis for space-born gravitational wave detectors thanks to his experience in the LISA Pathfinder mission. At isardSAT he is involved in the development and implementation of data processing techniques for SAR altimetry projects.
Maite participates at SWICCA project (Service for Water Indicators in Climate Change Adaption) which is about identifying relevant data sources for water management based on user requests, specifying requirements for the data to be useful and also suggesting content and functionality for the metadata catalogue.
Geomatics Engineer and Land Surveyor
Chandra has a PhD in Marine and Numerical Geophysics. As the R&D Scientific/Technical Manager at isardSAT UK, her main activities and responsibilities are to manage scientific and technical projects, identify new business opportunities, and to aide with the preparation of scientific and technical proposals. Thanks to her previous experience in the space industry and through her PhD, Chandra has a strong understanding of various earth observation applications and the needs of end-users. She will be providing support on a managerial level to the projects in the UK.
Roger is an R&D engineer at isardSAT Ltd. His main tasks include the development, specification and verification of L1 processing algorithms. He is also involved in the preparation of new project proposals and is responsible of the management of some projects.
Mark is a Software Engineer at isardSAT UK. His main responsibilities include the implementation of ground processing algorithms, and software development in Python and C++ for a range of different projects.
Eliazar is part of the Administrative Department. His duties include liaising with the isardSAT team as well as external contacts such as accountings and suppliers, handling arrangements and costs for travels, meetings and events.
Samir is in charge of ensureing the correct functioning of isardSAT computer systems, guaranteeing uptime, efficiency, use of resources and server security.
Gerard is a Computer Science Engineer at isardSAT. His main responsibilities include the implementation of ground processing algorithms, and software development in C++ and Python for a range of different projects.

Sergi is a Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering student doing an internship at isardSAT. He is currently working on the development, testing and verification of ground processing algorithms within the software team.

Chris’s background is in theoretical physics. At isardSAT he works to develop mathematical models of the backscattered power of radar altimeters based on the physical nature of the sea surface and the radar. The models are used to aid in the design of altimeters and to build signal processing algorithms to make measurements with greater accurate.
Adrián is a Telecommunications Engineer. He has background on Calibration and Validation (CALVAL) thanks to his experience in the PAZ mission. His main activities include the development and implementation of data processing with special focus on the instrumental calibration.

Melissande is a double degree Msc in Earth and Space Observation and Mathematical Modelling with Engineering Management. As an Earth Observation Data Scientist, she is in charge of processing remote sensing imagery and developing algorithms to extract intelligence from these data.
