isardSAT has joined the Women in Aerospace Europe (WIA-E) community, an ecosystem of more than 1,000 individual members and over 50 corporate partners dedicated to expanding the leadership capabilities, networking opportunities, and global visibility of women in the aerospace industry. This partnership underscores isardSAT’s commitment to fostering diversity, promoting inclusion, and advocating for systemic gender equality across the sector.
While progress is being made in gender equality in the space sector, a significant gap remains. Women represent only the 31% in the space sector SMEs workforce, as pointed out by United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA) landmark study on gender equality in the global space sector (2025). Though this percentage has risen steadily in recent years, the industry is still far from achieving equity.
“Achieving true gender balance in aerospace is not just a woman’s issue, it is a shared responsibility” says Mònica Roca i Aparici, Managing Director at isardSAT. “It requires a collective effort across all levels of leadership to build an equitable future.”
